Cartonnage “Boris” Box

Cartonnage is the art and craft of covering a box with fabric. We are so pleased to now offer kits from Die Schachtelidee from Germany. Here’s a little more about them:

The kit includes all the cardboard pieces required to make the pictured box. It does not include the fabric, glue or brush. You will require book-binders glue which is readily available from Amazon or many craft stores.

This is an intermediate cartonnage project, and it is recommended you have some experience before trying this project.

When opened, it has a high (7 cm) and a low compartment (3.5 cm) on top of each other, and it can be closed with a lid.

Detailed instructions are included. The instructions are in German with an English translation included. We will email you the basic instructions and the instructions for the particular box, so you can either print them out or follow them on an ipad or computer.
